The starting point

Twenty-two years of credibility. A quiet profile.

Coach James spent 22 years as a teacher and coach before moving into retirement and benefits planning. His LinkedIn had been quiet for about a year. The headline was narrow, the job titles didn’t match, and every visitor got one generic booking link.

PREPARE

Prepare the start

  • Profile rebuilt around one identity: Retirement & Benefits Specialist, Former Teacher & Coach
  • About section written from his own words: “Educate. Prepare. Develop the strategy. Execute the game plan.”
  • A new banner, a custom profile URL, and matching titles everywhere
  • One named offer, the Game Plan Review, in place of a vague “free consultation”
POSTURE

Posture the stance

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday posting, every week
  • The Pension Playbook, a weekly LinkedIn newsletter, launched in week one
  • A one-page Retirement Game Plan Checklist as a lead magnet
  • A weekly phone-video routine: we send the brief and script, he films, we edit and caption
POSITION

Position to sell

  • Three booking links split by intent: Pension Review, Retirement Planning, Recruitment
  • Booking links in the first comment, where LinkedIn doesn’t cut reach
  • A Monday report to Coach James and his team every week

What we learned

His own voice won.

His September 18 phone video drew 19 interactions on 40 impressions, including 9 comments. That’s more comments than every other post that month combined. He also texted 5–10 people asking them to watch in the first hour. That text is now part of every video launch.

Reach is still the constraint. A reactivated account earns distribution slowly, so month two puts more of Coach on camera and more first-hour engagement behind every post. These are early numbers, and we show them as they are.
